Sekinchan Day Trip
Sekinchan famous for its nice green Paddy Field and Fishing Village. Affordable seafood and Paddy Processing Factory located, one of the major rice producing areas of Malaysia.
Paddy Field
Sekinchan (适耕庄) in Chinese define "village suitable for plantation', the land and weather is suitable for farming of paddy, fruits and palm tree. Along the paddy field, there are roads connecting the town with the small village located in the center of the paddy fields. Along the way, you will find water path (aqueduct), little bridge, birds and of course the paddy. There are also factories which allow visits. The staff will brief you on the paddy plantation process, type of rice. You can also purchase the rice here which is not available in the market. Besides rice, you can also get nice mangoes at the stalls along Sekinchan main road.
Fishing Village
While on the other side of the road, it was the famous Fishing Village provided with varieties of seafood restaurants and fresh fish market. Most of the locals are Teow Chew who are also fishermen who depend on fishing for their livelihood. The fisherman went out to catch fish at the morning about 4-5 am, come back around 5 pm with a lot fresh sea fish and prawn.
Lunch at Restaurant Ka Lok
Wai Ho bring us to this restaurant to try out the Fish Head. During lunch hour, it is very crowded, so make sure you get your seats earlier. We waited around 45minutes for the fish to be serve on table. Hungry die me.
Pantai Redang
Last stop to check out the beach, seem that it is still not polluted (rubbish) due to the crowd of people. Bright sunny sun with sea breeze still one of the location choices for tourist taking a break out from the busy cities life.
Last but not least a picture of the GREENISH PADDYISSSH FIELD....
THE END.
